SKÅL Washington DC is supporting a toy drive for Gala Theatre. You can donate new unopened toys or make a cash donation and they will purchase toys. All donations are tax deductible for more information please call Rebecca Medrano Executive Director, GALA Hispanic Theatre at (202) 234-7174.
You may bring a donation/toy to our December 16 dinner meeting at the Capital Hilton.
GALA Hispanic Theatre will again celebrate the timeless story of the Three Magi with the traditional Fiesta de los Reyes Magos/Three Kings Day Celebration on Sunday, January 5, 2020. This festive bilingual event for the entire family preserves one of the most revered celebrations of Latino culture with its music, dance, storytelling, and gifts.
GALA is a non- profit organization that has been serving the city’s Latino community for over 44 years. As part of the tradition and in the spirit of The Magi, a gift will be given to every child in attendance. In its history, GALA has distributed over 17,000 gifts to the children of the community.
I am writing to ask for your support and in collecting toys to distribute at the event. Over three hundred low-income and underserved children participate each year. In the past, the gifts have been provided by the Inter-American Development Bank, but they no longer donate. With your support, we will bring a smile and joy to hundreds of children this holiday season.
All toy donations are tax deductible, as GALA is a 501 c 3 tax exempt organization..
